The Twelve

Little is truly known about the Twelve. To the people of Novaryn they are revered as the world’s original creators, each giving a fragment of themselves to shape what exists today. For ages they have been spoken of as watchful guardians, but many scholars whisper that their power has faded or their spirits have departed entirely. Only dormant traces of their will remain—echoes, relics, and disciplines—waiting for someone to possibly inherit their will again.

Aurion

Aurion is said to have gifted the world its light, though scholars find the claim curious since the sun clearly predates mortal memory. Some speculate the illumination he gave was not physical sunlight but the metaphysical glow of knowledge and perception itself. Regardless, it is through Aurion’s fragment that mortals practice Aurionics — magic of radiance, healing, and the unveiling of hidden truth.

Nythros

Nythros is remembered as the keeper of shadow and forgotten things. Tales claim he wove memory into darkness, hiding history until the world was ready. His fragment, Nythromancy, endures as magic of secrecy, concealment, and the binding or release of memories.

Kalyth

Kalyth shaped the bones of Novaryn, raising its mountains and carving its endless caverns. Scholars debate whether Kalyth still stirs beneath the crust or has long since gone silent. Kalythurgy, their lingering gift, allows mortals to command stone, soil, and endurance itself.

Thyrren

Thyrren’s fire forged the first dawn and the first forge. Whether their spark still burns or flickered out ages ago is unknown, but Thyrrancy remains a living art: fire and molten force driven by the passions of those who dare to wield it.

Veyla

Veyla drew the seas across Novaryn, teaching water to flow and to heal. Scholars whisper she poured her essence into every tide, which may explain why no shrine to Veyla remains untouched by salt spray. Through Veylancy, mortals summon currents, cleanse wounds, and call forth the ocean’s dual nature.

Somne

Somne is spoken of as the one who spun the thread of time, though some scholars argue time itself may have existed before Somne gave it shape. His fragment, Somnomancy, lets mortals fold moments, echo actions, and glimpse futures few dare to see.

Zephyros

Zephyros gave wind its roaming soul and motion its freedom. Whether their breath still moves across the skies or is merely inertia left behind is lost to history. Zephyromancy channels invisible currents, flight, and swiftness, echoing the wandering god’s last exhalation.

Lunareth

Lunareth set the twin moons to circling and taught water to mirror the sky. Some believe Lunareth never truly left but hides in every reflection. Lunarethics remains the art of cycles, illusions, and mirror-born passage between places.

Eryndra

Eryndra breathed the first verdant life into Novaryn, coaxing roots from stone and blood from clay. Scholars debate whether she sacrificed herself in doing so; her groves grow wild but her temples are silent. Through Eryndrics, mortals nurture, heal, and accelerate growth.

Korvyn

Korvyn guided endings, crafting the paths by which souls depart. Some think Korvyn walked into the void with the first dead and never returned. Korvynurgy gives mortals the power to ease passage, command decay, and respect the balance of beginnings and endings.

Astryne

Astryne mapped the vault of heaven, fixing constellations and opening the far reaches of Novaryn’s sky. Many scholars suspect Astryne dissolved into the stars themselves. Astrynics draws down celestial fire, charts fate, and navigates by patterns older than history.

Myrrhiel

Myrrhiel wove the invisible threads that bind souls, shaping resonance and thought. Some believe her essence lingers as a faint vibration across all living minds. Myrrhics lets mortals weave songs into power, bridge consciousness, and harmonize the world’s unseen currents.
